FUNDACION METROPOLI is an international organisation that aspires to contribute, from a global perspective, to the innovation and development of cities and regions.

To meet its objectives and assist in the development of its programmes and activities, the Fundación Metrópoli has established strategic partnerships with: Eisenhower Fellowships, University of Pennsylvania, Urban Land Institute, Partner for Livable Communities, International Society of City and Regional Planners, Arab Urban Development Institute, Taller de Ideas, etc, as well as an International Advisory Council comprising 45 urban experts.

The activities developed by Fundación Metrópoli include the following:

Proyecto CITIES: The basic aim of this initiative focusing on 20 cities on five continents is to identify the competitive advantages of each participating city, which include Singapore, Boston, Dubai, Shanghai, Philadelphia, Curitiba, Santiago de Chile, Sydney, Dublin etc. and the principle urban innovations they are developing.

CITIES Lab: Using the methodology and experience of Proyecto CITIES, Fundación Metrópoli develops with different cities, through agreements of collaboration, programmes to identify their components of excellence and to define strategic projects for the future.

CITIES Art: The objective of this programme is to recover the role of art as motor of creativity and innovation in the design of the human habitat. The spaces of the future are fusion spaces of architecture, urbanism, landscape, painting, sculpture and the new technologies.
